Alaska’s Bears and Glaciers

A private touring program that features prime wildlife viewing prior to your cruise departure. Begin your private tour in Alaska’s largest metropolis, Anchorage. Travel by bush plane along the coast of Cook Inlet to a concentrated bear viewing location where you will spend the day watching these giants. The next day, take off through the Alaska Range and experience the splendor of Denali, North America’s largest mountain. During this tour, land on an ancient glacier and experience the ice up-close.  Return to Anchorage for a day of sightseeing and a night in the big city. Your journey finishes with a leisurely morning before traveling to Whittier or Seward prior to boarding your departing cruise ship.

Receive a personal greeting upon arrival, followed by a private transfer to your hotel.

Bear viewing

A private transfer will bring you to the Lake Hood floatplane base for a scenic 1-hour flight to a remote bear viewing location. Spend the day in search of one of Alaska’s favorite mammals. Exploring the water’s edge you may see bears fishing for salmon, digging for clams, or dining on sage grass. Return to Anchorage this evening.

Glacier Flightseeing

Take off through the Alaska Range for a flightseeing tour of Denali. Explore the Alaska Range with an experienced pilot and land on a glacier. Step out onto the ice and feel miles of glacier ice beneath your feet. Return to Anchorage this afternoon and enjoy sightseeing of Alaska’s largest city with a private driver-guide.

Anchorage to Seward or Whittier

Enjoy a leisurely morning before departing by private vehicle to your cruise ship terminal, with a stop along the way at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Arrive at the cruise ship terminal in time for your departing cruise.
