Fairbanks Fun in the Heart of Winter!

Day 1

Arrive in Fairbanks

Touch down in Fairbanks, the Golden Heart City of Alaska’s interior. Your private driver/guide will greet you and provide a transfer to your hotel. Tonight, step outside for your first opportunity to get a glimpse of the northern lights.

Overnight in Fairbanks, your home for the next four nights.

Day 2

Fairbanks Sightseeing - Dogsledding - Northern Lights Dinner

Today, you’ll begin your fun with a city tour of Fairbanks. Stops may include a visit to Golden Heart Plaza, the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, or the Santa Claus House in North Pole. Your private driver can offer additional sightseeing suggestions and or a local restaurant for lunch.

This evening, climb aboard a dog sled and experience dogsledding as you mush to an aurora-viewing cabin for a delicious dinner under the northern lights.

 

Day 3

Day Tour to Chena Hot Springs - Aurora Ice Museum

Sleep in this morning after your late night of aurora viewing. Later, travel 60 miles outside of Fairbanks by private transfer with your driver/guide to Chena Hot Springs Resort. Soak in the natural hot springs and visit the Aurora Ice Museum, the world’s largest year-round ice environment made from 1,000 tons of ice and snow. Spend as much time as you want before returning to Fairbanks with your private driver/guide.

Day 4

Arctic Circle Exploration

Today, you’ll venture north on an all-day tour driving tour to the Arctic Circle. Watch rolling forested hills give way to a vast expanse of tundra as you survey the Arctic’s vast landscapes. Cross the Arctic Circle and receive an official Adventure Certificate before traveling back to Fairbanks. Along the way keep an eye out for the aurora dancing across the northern skies. With no light pollution from any cities, northern lights viewing is optimal in these remote landscapes.

Day 5

Depart Fairbanks

Today, say farewell to Alaska and receive a private transfer to the Fairbanks Airport for your departure flight.
