Listen to tales of Skagway past and present as your driver/guide takes you through the historic downtown district, showing you some of Alaska’s preserved structures including the White Pass & Yukon Railway Depot, Jeff Smith’s Parlor, Red Onion Saloon, and the Arctic Brotherhood Hall.
Dine in the Red Onion Saloon
Built in 1897, the Red Onion Saloon operated as one of the finest bordellos in Skagway. Enjoy delicious food in the restaurant and bar, or step back in time during a tour of the upstairs restored brothel museum. Hear entertaining tales of women who worked here, and see the many artifacts they left behind as the Gold Rush died down.
Explore Klondike Gold Fields
Meet a cast of costumed characters for fun and a chance to find your fortune! Learn the art of gold panning and practice your technique in warm-water troughs. Gold is guaranteed in every pan! Haul your treasure into The Gold Shack, have it weighed and, if you choose, transferred into a souvenir bezel.
Visit Skagway’s Gold Rush Cemetery
This historic cemetery is the final resting place for many of Skagway’s colorful characters. Your driver/guide will tell you the legend of Soapy Smith and his rival Frank Reid, as well as show you their gravesites.
