Bears and Fishing: Why Not?

Spend the evening in downtown Anchorage

Day 2

Anchorage to Redoubt Mountain Lodge

Enjoy breakfast at your Anchorage hotel before a private transfer takes you to the Lake Hood Seaplane Base for your 70-minute to the Redoubt Mountain Lodge located in Lake Clark National Park & Preserve. Upon arrival enjoy lunch and a lodge orientation. Spend the afternoon fishing, participating in other lodge adventures or simply relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

Day 3

An Angler's Paradise

Climb into your waders and head out with your experienced fishing guide for great fishing on Crescent Lake and its many small tributaries, on out to the lake outlet and the salmon producing Crescent River. You can choose to fly or spin fishing along the river bank, fish from a boat, or “walk and wade” to reel in the big one.

Day 4

Bears Anyone?

Bear viewing doesn’t get any better than this!

Lake Clark National Park offers some of the best bear viewing and photography opportunities in Alaska. Watch these amazing animals exploring and feeding in their natural habitat. Photograph the bears as they feast on spawning salmon, forage along the shoreline, and train their young. Travel with an experienced guide by boat or kayak to watch bears up-close-and-personally.  You can request helicopter fly out trips to others areas rich with bear activity as well.

Day 5

Kayaking and Paddleboarding Near and Far

Helicopter fly-out options include flightseeing throughout Lake Clark National Park as well as guided kayaking and/or paddle boarding trips on remote streams within the Alaska Range. Or you can just choose to relax and later enjoy afternoon hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding right near Redoubt Mountain Lodge.

Day 6

Sigh. Time to leave...

After breakfast say farewell to your lodge hosts as you return to Anchorage for a private guided sightseeing tour and overnight, or continue your Alaskan adventure to another destination.
