Lake Clark National Park is home to Alaskan brown and black bears and offers some of the best bear viewing and photography opportunities in Alaska. Watch these amazing animals exploring and feeding in their natural habitat. Photograph the bears as they feast on spawning salmon, forage along the shoreline, and train their young. Travel with an experienced guide by boat or kayak to watch bears up-close-and-personally. You can request helicopter fly out trips during June where pilot and guides will take you to an exclusive coastal area rich with bears. Watch enormous boars (males), sows with cubs, adolescent & solitary bears as they go about their daily lives foraging, breeding and being bears. These helicopter fly-out options also include flight seeing throughout Lake Clark National Park as well as guided kayaking/paddle boarding trips on remote streams within the Alaska Range.
Near the lodge, guests can enjoy a variety of other activities including hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
