The Ideal Fishing Experience
Deep Creek Fishing Club is strategically located on the Kenai Peninsula, with easy access to Anchorage. It lies adjacent to Cook Inlet, which boasts some of the best halibut fishing in the world. It is also within reach of countless streams and rivers, giving access to freshwater species such as arctic grayling, dolly varden, and rainbow trout. Guests at Deep Creek Fishing Club can choose from several all-inclusive packages with a focus on fishing.
On the opposite side of Cook Inlet are two stunning national parks: Lake Clark and Katmai. Together, these parks support some of the highest concentrations of brown bears in the world. A day excursion from the lodge to one of these parks can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for lodge guests.
The main lodge overlooks the Cook Inlet, with ocean views and vistas of far-off volcanoes. It offers a 2-story stone fireplace with a comfortable seating area, the dining area, a majestic deck to relax on, and a hot tub for your evening enjoyment.
Each spacious oceanfront duplex cabin sleeps two people and offers panoramic seascape views, as well as a king-sized bed, fully stocked mini fridge, private bathroom, and satellite TV for a touch of home comfort.
Deep Creek Fishing Club enjoys convenient road connections to Anchorage, along with a nearby airport in Kenai.
All gourmet meals are included during your stay at the lodge and the kitchen prides itself on its simple, yet elegant, Alaskan fare. The freshest ingredients, including locally harvested seafood, are used whenever possible.
Each morning begins with a delivery of coffee, tea, and pastries to your room. Later in the morning, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast in the main lodge to fuel you for a full day of fishing. Lunches are typically enjoyed ‘on the go’ depending on the day’s activities, while dinners are once again served in the main lodge.
As the primary focus of the lodge is fishing, there are a variety of different fishing experiences available. Regardless of prior fishing experience, your expert fishing guides will make you feel at home by providing expert care and instruction, combined with the highest quality of gear.
Saltwater fishing opportunities include deep sea halibut fishing—each year halibut weighing more than 300 pounds are caught. Other tasty catches include salmon, giant lingcod, and colorful rockfish.
The lodge is also within reach of 40 freshwater fishing hot spots where anglers can reel in salmon, dolly varden, arctic grayling, steelhead, lake trout and northern pike.
Bear viewers will enjoy day trips to Lake Clark or Katmai National Park – one helicopter and one float plane trip are included, as well as an additional activity of your choice.
