You’ll travel by van from Skagway to the summit of White Pass then coast back to town by bike for a unique, exhilarating biking trip along this historic route. Begin with a 25-minute narrated van ride through historic Skagway and up the coastal mountains to the summit. You’ll retrace the route taken by thousands of gold-crazed stampeders during the rush of 1898. Along the way, your experienced guides versed in the history and ecology of the area will entertain you with stores of past and present life in the gateway to the Klondike.
After a bicycle orientation and safety briefing, your guides will escort you all the way down the 15 scenic miles from the summit to the sea! As you coast along the paved Klondike Highway on this 1.5-hour bike ride, you make multiple stops for photos of the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, cascading waterfalls, awe-inspiring glaciers, majestic mountains, and historic sites. You even get to cross the US border on a bicycle! After your thrilling ride, enjoy time in historic downtown Skagway.
