Luxury in Winter Wilderness

Indulge Yourself in the Luxuries of Winter

Experience the best that Alaska has to offer with a stay at three of our premier winter lodges. Begin with dazzling nights spent under the northern lights at the unique Borealis Basecamp. In private yurts with clear-ceiling domes, you will have the opportunity to watch aurora borealis action then truly sleep under the stars! A short ski plane flight will then bring you to your adventure base at Winterlake Lodge. Set out for adventure as you pilot a dog team or strap on a set of snowshoes for exploring the winter landscapes of the Alaska Range. Every day, you’ll be spoiled by the lodge’s culinary creations and every night by the dancing northern lights. Round out your winter tour with a stay at the exclusive and very unique Sheldon Chalet. Truly one of the most noteworthy lodge experiences in Alaska, the Chalet combine unique on-glacier outdoor activities with lodge based luxury for an extravagant finale on your Alaska visit.

Bespoke Adventures & Luxurious Comforts

Day 1

Arrive at the Borealis Basecamp

Touch down in Fairbanks, Alaska’s favorite winter destination, known for breathtaking views of the northern lights. Your private driver/guide will greet you and assist with your luggage then accompanying you through sparkling landscapes of winter wilderness to the Borealis Basecamp.

Perched atop a north-facing slope, surrounded by nature, your own private oasis at Borealis Basecamp offers the perfect winter escape in the heart of Alaska’s Arctic. A coveted stay by many, your private dome will provide the opportunity to view the lights from the comfort of your bed.

Overnight under the northern lights at the Borealis Basecamp for two nights.

Day 2

From Northern Lightshows to Winter Outdoor Adventures

In addition to aurora viewing, the Borealis Basecamp offers a variety of exciting winter activities such as dog sledding, snow machining, and aurora photography tours. Gear rentals are also available if you wish to explore the surrounding trails by snowshoe or fat-tire bike.

Enjoy another evening of aurora viewing as you drift off to sleep in your private cabin. Gourmet meals will be freshly prepared in the lodge restaurant featuring sustainably harvest Alaskan seafood and local produce.

Look for moose dining on willow bushes or perhaps an elusive lynx will make an appearance. You will wind through the Nenana Canyon and along the edges of Denali National Park. Keep an eye out for Denali herself as she tends to make more appearances in the winter time. Arrive in the quaint sleepy community of Talkeetna for a night at a comfortable local Inn.
