Day 1

Arrive in Anchorage

Upon arrival at the Anchorage Airport receive a private greeting and meet your driver for an exclusive transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Anchorage.

Day 2

Bear Viewing in Lake Clark National Park to Girdwood

Begin your Alaskan vacation by embarking on one of the Last Frontier’s most amazing adventures, bear viewing. Take off from Anchorage by floatplane and fly south along the shores of Lake Clark National Park. Land on a remote beach and spend the morning in search of coastal brown bears feeding on clams, grasses, and salmon.

Return to Anchorage and travel south to Girdwood with your private driver/guide along the scenic Turnagain Arm. The day is at your leisure so just ask your driver/guide to pull over for photo opportunities.  Consider including a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a rehabilitative center for abandoned or injured wildlife. The day is yours to make it your own!

Day 3

Private Cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park - Alaska Railroad to Girdwood

This morning, embark on a private day tour to Seward where you will board a private cruise and explore Kenai Fjords National Park. Your private boat captain will ensure you get as much time as you and party desires to view whales breaching and glaciers calving.

Return to Girdwood by the Alaska Railroad from Seward traveling along Alaska’s most stunning rail route aboard the Gold Star line with domed railcars. Watch as the scenery changes from coastal forests to mountain glaciers and then to the shores of Turnagain Arm. Dinner can be savored on board as you watch for Dall sheep on the cliffs and moose feeding along the tracks providing the perfect conclusion to your day.

Day 4

Travel from Girdwood to Talkeetna

Journey north with your private driver/guide from Girdwood past Anchorage through the Matanuska-Susitna River Valley, an important agricultural area for the state and home to many dog kennels raising the next generation of Iditarod champions. Consider stopping at a kennel for an exclusive tour and learn about the history of dog mushing on your way to Talkeetna. Talkeetna is known as a mecca for those who wish to summit Denali and is a quaint town with a bustling Main Street that features unique local shops and restaurants.

Day 5

Talkeetna Into Denali National Park

From Talkeetna travel north with your private driver/guide to the Denali Park Entrance. Meet the lodge shuttle for the scenic journey through Denali National Park to Kantishna. Along the way watch for caribou, moose, grizzly bears, and Dall sheep. With luck, you will also have views of mighty Denali – North America’s tallest peak. Upon arrival at the lodge receive a brief orientation and enjoy dinner in the main lodge before settling into your private cabin for the evening.

Overnight in the heart of Denali National Park, your home for the next two nights.

Day 6

Explore Denali National Park: What's Your Pleasure?

Spend the day exploring Alaska’s most famous National Park. Choose from a variety of activities including a variety of guided hiking options, mountain biking, gold panning, or catch-and-release fishing. After a day of Denali adventure, you may wish to add a full-body massage with the in-house massage therapist at the lodge (additional cost), or sit by the fire and make s’mores as you soak in the beauty and tranquility of the Alaska wilderness.

 

Day 7

Travel from Denali National Park to Anchorage

Return to the Denali Park Entrance by lodge shuttle and continue on to Anchorage by deluxe rail passage. Enjoy lunch and dinner on board while you watch for possible wildlife from your domed railcar. Receive a private transfer to your hotel upon arrival at the Anchorage Rail Depot.

Day 8

Depart Anchorage

Today, say farewell to Alaska and receive a private transfer to the Anchorage Airport for your departure flight.
