Day 1

Arrive in Fairbanks

Touch down in Fairbanks, known as the Gateway to the Arctic, where you will find your private driver awaiting you. Get a glimpse of what it looks like living in the far north during your private transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Fairbanks into Denali National Park Entrance

Your private driver/guide will greet you in the hotel lobby this morning for your private transfer south to Denali Park Entrance. The rolling tree covered hills of Fairbanks will suddenly shift to  glacier carved valleys, lined with tundra. This is where your Alaskan journey begins. Every moment around the parks entrance is a chance to explore the richness of Alaska’s wilderness.

As the day’s adventures unfold, relish the active energy, knowing that the evening promises a tranquil retreat. This is not just a journey; it’s a symphony of experiences harmonizing with the breathtaking beauty of Alaska’s untamed landscapes.

Day 3

Explore Denali

Embark on an enriching journey into the heart of Alaska’s culture by immersing yourself in the fascinating world of Iditarod dog sled kennels. Uncover the profound connection between dog sledding and Alaskan heritage, gaining insights into how this time-honored tradition has become an integral part of the state’s identity.

The experience goes beyond knowledge as you engage firsthand with the spirited energy of the future sled dog champions—play with adorable puppies, reveling in their exuberance as they shower you with affectionate puppy kisses. This isn’t just a visit; it’s a captivating exploration of the bonds between humans and their loyal canine companions, a quintessential aspect of Alaska’s rich cultural tapestry.

Day 4

Denali Park Entance to Talkeetna

After arriving at the Alaska Railroad depot, you’ll board a luxury dome railcar on the Alaska Railroad (GoldStar service) for your scenic rail journey through Alaska’s backcountry to Talkeetna. Dinner on the train is included as you take in the passing sights and possible views of wildlife (12:30H-17:05H).

Upon arrival into Anchorage that night, you will be greeted by your private driver/guide who will take you to your hotel.

Day 5

Travel from Talkeetna to Anchorage

Continue south by private vehicle towards Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage. Your journey will bring you through one of Alaska’s most important agricultural areas, the Matanuska – Susitna Valley. Stop in the farming community of Palmer and walk through the quaint downtown shops. In addition to farming, this area in Alaska has a rich gold mining history and a stop at Independence Mine will allow you to explore many historic buildings. Conclude your sightseeing fun in Anchorage after you arrive at your Anchorage hotel.

Overnight in Anchorage, your home for the next two nights.

Day 6

Bear Viewing

This morning, you’ll transfer by private vehicle to Lake Hood. You’ll board a floatplane for flightseeing and the chance to see Alaskan brown bears in the wild. Depending on the time of your tour,  you will visit either Lake Clark National Park or Katmai National Park. You can watch bears hunting for salmon or swimming with their young and you might even catch one after a big meal napping at the water’s edge.

At the end of your day, you’ll return to your hotel and enjoy your last evening in Anchorage. Your driver/guide can offer suggestions about the best Anchorage restaurants.

Day 7

Depart Anchorage

Today, say farewell to Alaska and receive a private transfer to the Anchorage Airport for your departure flight.
