When you fly over Alaska, you’ll see glacier-filled valleys gleaming below you, nestled between Alaskan mountains as far as the eye can see. But what is it like getting out of helicopter and going hiking on one or navigating your kayak between glacial icebergs? On one of our private tours, we’ll create multiple opportunities for you to travel to and explore Alaska glaciers, some better known, some not even named. You can strap on your crampons and learn to use an ice axe, learn how to steer a dogsledding team or just venture out on a private guided hike with a naturalist where you can learn all about glacier geology and tundra ecosystems. Why are glaciers blue, anyway?
